Grief Recovery Support: “From Loss to Living” is an extended program in support of a new beginning for those who have suffered the loss of their marriage from the death of their spouse or through divorce. This extended program offers grieving individuals ongoing support where they can continue to work through their grief with weekly meetings and the support of others who can relate to their pain. Topics include but are not limited to: stress, self-esteem, guilt, forgiveness and anger. Many of the tools learned through this program offer individuals emotional support and encouragement to continue to work forward in developing a new life while defining their new normal.
Faith Formation: CAST Ministries is encouraging and enriching individuals in a deeper understanding and personal relationship with Christ. There are many different topics covered, but each can be applied to current life situations, and to what individuals face in their daily struggles. CAST Ministries focus is to help those who are faced with changes in their lives and/or relationships, with tools to seek ways in enhancing their prayer lives with a deeper understanding, as well as a more fulfilling relationship with Christ.
Social Aspects: CAST Ministries holds various social events throughout the year. These functions offer a safe place for individuals to fellowship with other single, widowed, and divorced Christians who understand and relate to the struggles faced while rebuilding their lives. Through the friendships formed, members of CAST Ministries offer support and understanding as well as encouragement to each other to step out of the isolation many succumb to.
Prayer support: CAST Ministries comes together in prayer for other special intentions for members of CAST and their families. In supporting each other through prayer, CAST is bringing those who are hurting or have been hurt, closer in union with a loving and merciful God, and offering hope with continued support in building a more personal relationship with Christ. CAST Ministries also works with a Healing Prayer team to bring additional support to those individuals who are in need.
Surviving the Holidays: The holiday season is the hardest for people who have either lost a loved one, or suffered the pains of divorce or separation. CAST Ministries facilitates “Surviving the Holiday’s Events” at various churches across the Treasure Valley. This program was designed through DivorceCare and GriefShare. Community Service and Outreach: CAST Ministries is active in supporting the needs of Christian singles in our community. Our volunteers have assisted individuals with finding readily available services within the community, encouragement in facing life's difficulties and sometimes just being a shoulder to cry on.
