Mission Statement
Bringing together like minded, single mid-life Catholics, to encourage and enrich each others lives through fellow-shipping, socializing, deepening their understanding of their Catholic faith, but most importantly glorifying God while sharing in His mercy and compassion for our brothers and sisters in Christ. CAST is a peer-to-peer ministry offering a safe place to connect with other single Catholics and for those who have been isolated or hurt through their journey. CAST is not a dating group, nor is CAST associated with one. CAST is an organization that recognizes the need within the Catholic community to support those who are single and offers a sense of belonging and acceptance within our Catholic community.
Our mission statement comes from Philippians 2:1-5
“If there is any encouragement in Christ, any solace in love, any participation in the Spirit, any compassion and mercy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing…Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus.”
Our Purpose
- Provide mid-life singles in the Catholic community with a sense of belonging and a connection to the Church, their faith, and to also provide knowledge of readily available resources and support for their needs.
- Our focus is building friendships, fellow-shipping with other single Catholics, healing the broken-hearted and glorifying God. This group is designed around the needs of Catholic singles who are approximately 35 years of age on up, and are single by choice, through divorce, separation or death of their spouse. This group is a wonderful opportunity to get to know other Catholic singles in the parish, Catholic community, and throughout the Treasure Valley.
- Our goal is to reach out to singles who feel isolated, lonely, hurting or those who would just like to enhance their lives with single friends who share the same faith and belief systems.
